On Friday, August 1, 2025, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa, KSM, MNIM, the General Manager of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, graciously received members of the Shitile Traditional Council at his residence in Makurdi Benue State.
The Council consists of traditional rulers from all seven council wards within Shitile land, in addition to representatives from the Township Council Ward.
Zaki Joseph Ordolough, Tyoor of the Michihe Council Ward and Chairman of the Shitile Traditional Council, addressed the delegation. He articulated that the purpose of their visit was to express solidarity with Comrade Fanafa and his family during a challenging time, following the illness of his wife, Lady Grace Sewuese Fanafa. He underscored that their gathering was also intended to unite in prayer for her swift and full recovery.
In his remarks, Comrade Fanafa conveyed his profound gratitude to the Council for their visit, affirming that their prayers have borne fruit, as his wife is showing signs of gradual recovery. He expressed appreciation for their support, solidarity, and comforting words during this difficult period.
The General Manager took the opportunity to encourage the traditional leaders to persist in their efforts to promote peace throughout Shitile and the broader Sankera land, asserting that development flourishes only in a peaceful environment. He reiterated the commitment of the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, to the people of Shitile and Sankera, urging the traditional council to collaborate with government initiatives aimed at delivering developmental benefits to the region.
Earlier, Dr. Dzekaan Fanafa, the elder brother of the General Manager, extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of the Fanafa family. He expressed the family's heartfelt appreciation for the display of love and solidarity, reassuring the Council of the family's ongoing support.
The visit culminated in a solemn moment as the traditional rulers offered prayers for the complete healing and recovery of Lady Grace Sewuese Fanafa.
The delegation, led by Zaki Joseph Ordolough, included notable traditional rulers: Zaki David Togo (Tyoor Yooyo), Zaki Utume Aondohemba (Tyoor Utange), Zaki John Koji (Tyoor Mbayongo), Zaki Tortswam Kpile (Acting Tyoor Mbaaji), Zaki Mbaave Isho (Tyoor Mbatyula/Mberev), Zaki Terhemen Tsebo (Acting Tyoor Mbacher), and Zaki Cliv Ioraar (Tyoor Township). Also present were the General Secretary of the Shitile Development Association, Makurdi Branch, along with several distinguished sons of Shitile residing in Makurdi.
