The constituents of Kwande Local Government Area in Benue State have unequivocally expressed their support for President Bola Tinubu's reelection campaign in 2027. This affirmation coincides with their endorsement of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator George Akume.
During a recent visit to Senator Akume at his residence in Maitama, Abuja, a diverse delegation, representing multiple political affiliations, commended Senator Akume for his unwavering commitment to the development of Benue State and his advocacy for the Tiv nation and the state at the federal level.
Chief Terlumun Akputu, who led the delegation, emphasized that the visit served as a gesture of solidarity and appreciation for the SGF’s efforts in enhancing federal engagement in the region.
In his remarks, Barrister Vincent Uji acknowledged President Tinubu's inclusive governance approach and conveyed that the residents of Kwande LGA have experienced a renewed sense of hope under the Renewed Hope Agenda. He highlighted various federal initiatives and ongoing infrastructural projects in Benue State, attributing their advancement largely to the influence and dedication of Senator Akume.
Barrister Uji asserted that the unity and determination exhibited by the Kwande community clearly indicate their political alignment with the current administration, suggesting that their support would intensify as the 2027 elections approach. He urged other communities in Benue State to emulate the commitment demonstrated by Kwande LGA in sustaining the APC's political prominence in the region.
