LAUTECH Suspends Activities at Iseyin Campus Following Tragic Student Death

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso has announced the indefinite suspension of all academic activities at its Iseyin campus following the unfortunate death of a second-year student from the Department of Agricultural Economics.

In an official statement released and signed by the Registrar of the institution, Olayinka Balogun, confirmed that this immediate suspension of academic activities is a direct response to the tragedy involving a student.

According to eyewitness accounts reported to Gradual Television, the second-year student was tragically killed by a hit-and-run car driver in Iseyin, leading to considerable unrest among the student body.

In light of this incident, the institution has advised all students to take a two-week hiatus from classes. The statement reads: "The Management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, deeply regrets to announce the tragic loss of a second-year student from the Department of Agricultural Economics, who was fatally injured by a hit-and-run driver in Iseyin.

"As a consequence, all students within the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources are to commence a two-week break."
