The University of Ibadan (UI) has announced to open the portal for the payment of acceptance fee for all admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session from Monday, 10 November 2025, to Friday, 5 December.
All admitted students who have already generated their admission letters on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) are required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦50,000 through the University’s Admission Portal.
In a statement released by the University of Ibadan (UI) academic planning department, successfully admitted students must complete payment of the acceptance fee from Monday, 10 November 2025, to Friday, 5 December, with the specified timeframe, as no extensions will be granted.
Furthermore, admitted students who have not yet generated their admission letters are required to do so before making any payment as refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.
Required Documentation for the University of Ibadan (UI)Acceptance Fee Process
Candidates must upload the following documents while completing the acceptance fee payment:
- O’Level result(s)
- The PIN or serial number of the WAEC or NECO scratch card for result verification
These documents will be utilized during the clearance exercise to confirm the candidates' eligibility.
Steps for Paying the University of Ibadan (UI) Acceptance Fee
To complete the University of Ibadan (UI) acceptance fee payment, newly admitted students are required to follow these steps:
- Access the UI Admission Portal and log in using your application credentials.
- Select a payment option, neither 'Card Payment' for payment directly utilizing a debit or credit card, nor 'Bank Branch'. Print the payment slip from the portal and settle the payment at any designated bank branch.
- Once the payment is completed, log back into the portal to reconcile the transaction.
- Print the payment success receipt and retain it for future reference.
Guidelines for University of Ibadan (UI) Clearance and Matriculation
Upon successful payment of the University of Ibadan (UI) acceptance fee, candidates must present the original copies of their credentials to the designated Schedule Officers in the Undergraduate Admissions Office for clearance. The dates for the clearance exercise will be communicated in due course.
Candidates who successfully complete this process and are verified as qualified will be formally matriculated as bona fide students of the University of Ibadan. Any discovery of irregular, falsified, or incomplete credentials at any stage of this process will result in the withdrawal of admission.
