Big Brother Naija Season 10 is poised to deliver exceptional entertainment, featuring a grand prize of N150 million. Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of General Entertainment at MultiChoice Group, announced the forthcoming season during a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the new season will premiere over two nights on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27. Tejumola stated that this upcoming season promises ten weeks of engaging drama, strategic gameplay, and unmatched entertainment, culminating in the grand finale on October 5.
She remarked, “Today, we are not merely announcing another season; we are commemorating a legacy.” While the official theme for Season 10 will be revealed on the premiere night, viewers can expect a revitalizing wave of excitement.
The esteemed Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as the host, navigating viewers through the numerous twists and turns of the season. This tenth iteration also boasts the highest stakes, with a grand prize valued at N150 million.
Tejumola highlighted that Big Brother Naija has evolved beyond a television series, stating, “It is a living, breathing cultural force. It has provided a platform for a new generation of talent, creatives, entertainers, and influencers. It has refined the potential of homegrown entertainment when executed on a large scale with deliberate intention and ambition.”
With a two-night opening live event for Big Brother Naija Season 10, this season is well-positioned to build on the legacy established by its predecessors, Tejumola added.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that this year's edition was preceded by a comprehensive audition process aimed at identifying the most engaging and dynamic personalities from across Nigeria. Audition registrations took place from May 3 to May 7, which garnered an overwhelming response, followed by rigorous in-person auditions conducted in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu from May 16 to May 18.
