The Right Honourable Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya, the Commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Creativity, has reiterated the commitment of the current administration to prioritize youth empowerment, creativity, and sports development throughout Benue State.
Commissioner Imojime expressed this commitment during an interactive session with the Governor Alia Youth House and the wider Benue youth community. He was joined by Comrade Haakyav Tombu Peter, a leading candidate for the Buruku Federal Constituency.
The session was conducted under the esteemed leadership of the State Youth Leader, Honourable Gbenda Terver, who also serves as the Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Youth Mobilization and Illegal Levies.
During the event, the Commissioner assured youths of his readiness to collaborate with them in promoting the state's development agenda. He stated, "Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia believes in the energy and creativity of young people. My mandate as Commissioner is to ensure that Benue youths are provided with opportunities to excel in sports, business, innovation, and governance."
Comrade Haakyav Tombu Peter urged the youth to remain dedicated and purpose-driven, asserting, "This is our time as young individuals to take responsibility for constructing a better Benue. We must unite and support Governor Alia’s vision for a prosperous state."
The State Youth Leader, Honourable Gbenda Terver, commended the Governor for emphasizing youth inclusion within his administration. He remarked, "The youth constituency expresses gratitude to His Excellency for affording us a voice and role in governance. We shall continue to mobilize, sensitize, and endorse government initiatives for the advancement of Benue State."
The event facilitated constructive dialogue, youth mobilization strategies, and the enhancement of youth participation in governance, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Alia administration.
