On the evening of June 22, 2025, a Benue Links bus bearing registration number 14B-143BN was attacked, robbed, and its passengers abducted by unidentified gunmen along the Eke axis of Okpokwu Local Government Area in Benue State.
Eyewitness reports indicated that the incident transpired at approximately 6:30 p.m. The bus, which was transporting passengers, was ambushed by the assailants who proceeded to rob the occupants of their valuables before taking them into the adjacent bush.
