The government of Benue State is poised to collaborate with the federal government of Nigeria to establish a Youth Help Desk aimed at strengthening developmental structures and enhancing access to federal opportunities for the youth in Benue State.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Benue State Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Creativity in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, seeks to address the needs of young individuals in the region.
This strategic endeavor has emerged from a sustained partnership and productive dialogue between the Honorable Minister for Youth Development, Comr. Olawande Emmanuel Ayodele, and the Honorable Commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Creativity of Benue State, Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya.
The proposed Youth Help Desk is designed to function as a liaison and support platform that will coordinate youth-related programs, disseminate information regarding federal youth empowerment initiatives, facilitate access to training and funding opportunities, and promote collaboration between state and federal ministries on policies centered on youth development.
An advanced development toward the youth help desk was achieved during a working visit to the office of the Honorable Minister in Abuja, which was attended by the Head of the Youth Help Desk in Benue State, Mrs. Deborah Nguseer Kyoive, and the Director of Media, Publicity, and Strategic Communications for the Honorable Commissioner, Comr. Civir Terhemba.
The meeting focused on establishing the necessary framework for the effective formation and operation of the Help Desk in Benue State, ensuring that the state maximizes the benefits derived from all federal youth development initiatives.
This collaboration exemplifies the commitment of both the Federal and State Governments to create sustainable structures that empower young individuals, foster creativity, and promote inclusive growth in Benue State and beyond.
